Search Fast with Opera

Opera is a web browser and Internet suite developed by the Opera Software company. The browser handles common Internet-related tasks such as displaying web sites, sending and receiving e-mail messages, managing contacts, chatting on IRC, downloading files via BitTorrent, and reading Web feeds. Opera has many hiden powerful functions to make our search faster.

1.Search in Google fast
If we want to search some thing with Google, we don't need open Google page and enter keyword in the search box to search, just type "g"+ space key+"your keyword" in Opera's address bar to search.

We can also custom other letters as other search engines. Click the Opera menu key, select "Settings" and select "Preference". Go to "Search" tab, you'll see a search engine list. Here you can add or edit search engines. Here I add a Wikipedia.com search engine.

Click OK to save our changes, now we can search something in wikipedia.com with typing w + space + keyword in the address bar.

2. Shorten our bookmark search
We bookmark the pages we always visit, so next time we want to visit this page, we just need click the bookmark to open it. But if we have many bookmark pages, it is difficult to find the right one. With Opera, we can set a nick name for the bookmark page. Next time we want to visit this page, just enter the nick name in the address bar and press Enter.

In add bookmark window, click the "Detail" button to open the detail setting part. Enter the nick name in nick name box and click OK.

Now, if we want to use our Yahoo mail, just enter "mail" in the address bar and press Enter.
